Talent Contest!

Sounds of Summer Requests for Entertainment The committee for the Marshall Sounds of Summer (SOS) announces an entertainment opportunity for the region. Studio 1, in partnership with SOS, will sponsor a contest for music entertainment for the 2011 event. There will be two divisions - a Family division and a Teen division. Contest entries may begin on June 1st 2011; requirements include studio time to create a 10-minute demo CD, free of charge, made at the new Studio 1 Sound Studio located at 113 N. 3rd Street, downtown Marshall. All CD’s will become property of Studio 1.

The SOS Entertainment Committee will choose the top four entries and those entries will be invited to perform in Marshall during the Sounds of Summer events scheduled from August 18th-21st.

There will be cash awards for the top two finishers in each division. Top prize will be $400 and $250 for 2nd place in each division.
